Following their collaboration on the popular remix of Francois DuBois, I Try, two of the UK’s hottest producers, Milton Jackson and Neil Quigley, team-up again to create an astonishingly deep and reviving piece of emotive house music. Steve Ferrand steps up on remix duty and distils the soothing, soulful elements of the track with a connoisseur’s touch. ‘Tijuana’ is premium: life-affirming house music to raise the pulse.
‘Tijuana’ (Original) – A lush, dizzying, epic tear-jerker. Depth, melody, texture, groove all abound with stirring vibrancy.
‘Tijuana’ (Steve Ferrand’s Angel Dust Remix) – Steve Ferrand expertly strips back for a soothing, gracefully subtle bubbler.
Milton Jackson’s been both prolific and inspired as a producer over the last few years with releases on Urbantorque, Freerange and Tronicsole amongst others. ‘Tijuana’ follows on from ‘Fade Runner,’ a diverse EP released on Urbantorque that received heavy support on Radio 1 from the Trophy Twins, and the massive ‘Cycles’ on Freerange, a track that’s become almost ubiquitous on every deep and tech house dancefloor.
Recently propped by Hernan Cattaneo as his producer of the year, Neil Quigley’s fast gaining a reputation for his studio output as strong as his DJing. Dubbed the ‘prince of Bedrock’ by DJ Mag, Quiger’s taste for ‘electronic soul music’ has made him a firm favourite amongst the Bedrock and Renaissance party regulars. His tireless A&R work for Urbantorque has put him in good stead to launch a successful production career.
