Justin Chodzko - Muttonhoney / Trad

'I am trying to make very traditional melodic deep house, but it seems to get stretched slightly out of shape by the other stuff I'm in to..." - Justin Chodzko

With tastes in music that covers The Beach Boys to T-Rex, Cocteau Twins to David Alvarado, Justin Chodzko is just interested in making music and not simply making records. His first release 'The Inheritance EP' on Weekend World in 2000 drew DJ Magazine to review, 'If this record was any deeper it would be lying horizontal in a bath of chocolate custard' and Elliot Eastwick to comment, 'Justin is Harrow's answer to Larry Heard'. Muttonhoney/TRAD is Justin's debut release for Urbantorque. The double A-sider displays Justin's dance floor style with the A sides Muttonhoney pumping a sweet groove bound by its incessant jazz vocal skat and the flip harking back to the days of old with a wonderful house workout reminiscent of Jaydees classic Plastic Dreams.
