Diogenes Club return with 4 fantastic new tracks

The original mix of ‘Jaunt’ is a sublime slice of fresh, infectious and fun electronica. Right from the opening piano intro the track confidently and quirkily blends sounds together borrowing irreverently from genres to create a brilliantly unusual piece of electronic music. 80’s synth bass, piano riffs, warm and summery synths, beats and scratches and catchy hip-hop vocal combine so effortlessly that it almost seems too easy.

The 2007 re-work maintains the magic and brings things a tad more ‘electro’, emphasising a heavier bass and featuring a garbled robotic bleep break.

The first remix effort comes from the classically trained ear of Harry Peat. Harry works his mix around chunky beats, rousing chords, blissful melodies and sneaky vocal snatches to create a wonderful piece of trippy atmospheric house. This remix featured in the SOS Essential Mix live on BBC Radio 1 from Miami last year, and Lars Sandberg of Francois DuBois and Funk D’Void fame describes it as ‘absolutely gorgeous’ and exclaimed that he was ‘in love’ with the track.

Gourmet Recordings boss Mazi (Audio Soul Project) and the prolific Joshua Collins prune things back to devastating effect on the second remix, delivering a moodier, more edgy take on ‘Jaunt.’
