Feedback From The City

The ‘Pacemaker Dub’ on the A-side is a mind-bogglingly complete track. A steady, somewhat funky groove lynch-pins the track throughout while a myriad of sounds are experimented with on top. Sensitively arranged synths, pads and soft percussion swirl and intertwine mesmerically, and, while there’s a lot going on, the track maintains a sense of space and room to breathe. A very fine Urbantorque debut.

On the B-side the track gets the Estonian treatment from DJ Meri and Spin Science. Meri provides an epically atmospheric yet upbeat mix which features more of the original vocal from rock/folk singer Nadine Khouri.

The third mix comes from another uber-talented Estonian producer Spin Science, who takes things deep and wistful, stripping a little back with a masterfully delicate touch.
