Sam Ball - Double Vision EP

Heavily influenced by such dance music luminaries as Laurent Garnier, Sasha, Nathan Coles, Terry Francis and Fanciulli himself, Sam’s sound is solid electronic music ranging from tech-house and electro to techno.

Kicking of proceedings is title track 'Double Vision' - low down dirty and deep, old school drums wrap themselves around a “Mr Oizo-esque” squiggly-wibbly baseline, which makes for a fine booty shaker.

'Dynamo' ups the ante for the dance-floor with an altogether more driving affair; sleazy acid bass, vocal snatches and toughened beats are the order of the day.

And last but by no means least, we have the more minimal-bound 'Stikman'; sparse, techy percussion and once again a killer funked bass.

All in all a great debut for Sam!

Reviews:

"Full support for Dynamo and especially Double vision Deadly and to the point!"
Demi (Deeper Substance)
